Changing decimal to fractionEvery number is being divided by 1$0.055=\frac{0.055}{1}$Count how many times you have to move the decimal point to obtain a whole number.In 0.055, we have to move three (3) times.Multiply both the decimal and 1 by $\text{1 n O s}$Where nOs means number of zeros which is the number of times you have to move the decimal point to obtain a whole number.In 0.055 we have to multiply both 0.055 and 1 by 1000 , three (3) zeros after the 1 (1000).Multiplying the decimal by 1000 makes it a whole number.Simplify the numerator and the denominator.$\frac{0.055}{1}=\frac{0.055 \times 1000}{1 \times 1000}$$\frac{0.055}{1}=\frac{55}{1000}$$\frac{0.055}{1}=\frac{11}{200}$Note: 5 divides 55,11 times and 1000, 200 times.
