What is the weight of the carton when packed with the tins of milk?

Weight of tins

=170 \,\mathrm{g} \times 20 = 3400 \,\mathrm{g}

Weight of carton

=500 \,\mathrm{g}

Total weight after packing tins

=

Weight of carton + Weight of tins

Total weight

=3400 \,\mathrm{g} + 500 \,\mathrm{g} = 3900 \,\mathrm{g}

There was no option of gram ( g ) so convert the grams to kilogram by dividing the gram by 1000

3900 \,\mathrm{g} = \frac{3900}{1000} \,\mathrm{kg} = 3.9 \,\mathrm{kg}

Weight of carton when packed = 3.9
