Solution:

Method I

Change the kilogram to gram and calculate for the weight of rice and change it back to kilogram.

1\,\text{kg}=1000\,\text{g}

2\,\text{kg}=\frac{2\,\text{kg}\times 1000\,\text{g}}{1\,\text{kg}}=2000\,\text{g}

Weight of rice = bag of rice - empty bag

Weight of rice

=2000\,\text{g}-150\,\text{g}

Weight of rice

=1850\,\text{g}

Change the gram to kilogram

1000\,\text{g}=1\,\text{kg}

1850\,\text{g}=\frac{1850\,\text{g}\times 1\,\text{kg}}{1000\,\text{g}}=1.85\,\text{kg}

Note: 1.85 kg is the same as 1.850 kg

Method II

Change the gram to kilogram

\text{ If } 1000\,\text{g}=1\,\text{kg}

150\,\text{g}=\frac{150\,\text{g}\times 1\,\text{kg}}{1000\,\text{g}}=0.15\,\text{kg}

\text{ Weight of rice }=\text{ bag of rice }-\text{ empty bag }

\text{ Weight of rice }=2\,\text{kg}-0.15\,\text{kg}

\text{ Weight of rice }=1.85\,\text{kg}
