OPEC, which stands for the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, is an intergovernmental organization consisting of major oil-producing countries. Its main objectives are to coordinate and unify the petroleum policies of its member countries and ensure the stabilization of oil markets. However, establishing petroleum refineries in member states is not one of OPEC's objectives.
