Concept:

The area of a trapezium is half the sum of the parallel sides multiplied by the perpendicular height.

Explanation:

From the diagram, the parallel sides are

7\ \mathrm{cm}

and

13\ \mathrm{cm}

The perpendicular height is

6\ \mathrm{cm}

Area

= \frac{1}{2}(7 + 13) \times 6

= \frac{1}{2}(20) \times 6

= 10 \times 6

= 60\ \mathrm{cm}^{2}

Answer:

60\ \mathrm{cm}^{2}
